Qld: Man and dog escape house fire
A man and his dog have escaped a blaze that destroyed a Brisbane house.
Police say the 33-year-old .. who was the sole occupant of the Marcia-Belle Place house
at Joyner in Brisbane's north .. was woken up by a fire alarm about 6.40 pm (AEST) yesterday.
He jumped from a bedroom window with his dog as the brick residence was engulfed by flames.
The cause of the fire's still under investigation.
