Fed: Climate change, Fiji high on agenda for forum

Climate change .. economic development and Fiji are expected to be top of the agenda
when regional leaders meet in North Queensland this week for the Pacific Islands Forum.

Fifteen heads of government .. including Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD .. as well as more
than 450 delegates will take part in the three-day meeting in Cairns .. starting tomorrow.

It's the first time in 15 years since the forum's been held on Australian shores.

Fiji has not been invited to the meeting .. after member nations voted to suspend the
country after military commander FRANK BAINIMARAMA abandoned plans to hold democratic
elections.
