NSW: Woman dies in crash with power pole near Wagga Wagga

SYDNEY, Aug 24 AAP - A woman died overnight when her car ran off a highway and hit
a power pole in NSW's south-west.

Police said the 29-year-old woman from Uranquinty, near Wagga Wagga, had died instantly
in the crash on the Olympic Highway, near Wagga Wagga.

She had been driving a Holden Commodore south along the highway about 2am.

About 1km from the Sturt Highway intersection, the car veered off the left-hand side
of the road and hit a power pole.

An ambulance spokesman said the crash brought down power lines.
