NSW: Woman found dead after fire in Sydney s outer west
SYDNEY, April 8 AAP - An elderly woman was found dead following a fire in Sydney's
outer west last night.
The fire, in a single-storey brick and tile unit, in York Street, Emu Plains, began
around 9.30pm.
A fire brigade spokesman said the Department of Housing unit was extensively damaged
in the blaze.
The body of an unidentified woman was discovered in the unit's rear bedroom, police said.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious and an investigation is underway.
